Mavs News: Dallas Reportedly Interested in Evan Fournier

Trade Target Emerges After Siakam Bubble Burst

Mavs Eye Fournier as Potential Addition

The Dallas Mavericks continue to scout potential trade targets following the disappointing end to the Pascal Siakam trade rumors. According to Jake Fisher of Bleacher Report, the Mavericks have emerged as the most vocal team interested in acquiring Evan Fournier from the Orlando Magic.

Fournier, a 6-foot-7 shooting guard, has been a consistent performer for the Magic over the past several seasons. He averaged 14.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game in the 2021-22 season while shooting 39.3% from three-point range.

The Mavericks are reportedly looking for a wing player who can provide shooting and spacing for their star guard Luka Doncic. Fournier would fit that bill as he is an adept shooter who can create his own shot and knock down catch-and-shoot opportunities.

However, the Mavericks could face competition from other teams interested in Fournier. The Indiana Pacers, New York Knicks, and Atlanta Hawks have all reportedly expressed interest in the 29-year-old guard.

The Mavericks will have to weigh the potential cost of acquiring Fournier against their other needs and priorities. With the trade deadline approaching, it remains to be seen if the team will be able to add a player like Fournier to their roster.
