Geographic Diversity
UCLA ranks among the top universities in the nation for geographic diversity. Over 144 of our students come from out of state, while 1233 come from outside the country. This diversity enriches our campus community and provides our students with the opportunity to interact with people from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives.
Faculty Diversity
The General Campus Faculty Demographics Dashboard provides data on the gender and racial/ethnic diversity of our faculty. Over the past 5 years, we have made significant progress in increasing the representation of women and underrepresented minorities on our faculty. We believe that a diverse faculty is essential for providing our students with a well-rounded education and for fostering a more inclusive and equitable campus community.
Hollywood Diversity Report
UCLA's Hollywood Diversity Report is the only study of its kind to analyze how top films perform among different racial groups. The report has found that films with more diverse casts and crews tend to perform better at the box office. This research is helping to raise awareness of the importance of diversity in the entertainment industry and is contributing to a more inclusive and representative industry.
