Bayern Munich Hit Double Digits In Pre-Season Friendly

Bundesliga giants rip Rottach-Egern apart in dominant display

German champions, Bayern Munich, showed no mercy as they thrashed Rottach-Egern 27-0 in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.

The Bavarian giants were in ruthless mood as they ran riot against the hapless local side, scoring at will throughout the 90 minutes. Robert Lewandowski led the way with an incredible six goals, while Serge Gnabry and Jamal Musiala each netted four. There were also hat-tricks for Thomas Müller, Leroy Sané, and Alphonso Davies, with Kingsley Coman and Leon Goretzka rounding off the scoring.

Bayern Munich manager, Julian Nagelsmann, was delighted with his team's performance and praised their clinical finishing. "We were very efficient in front of goal today and that's something we've been working on in training," he said. "It's always good to get a big win in pre-season and this will give us confidence going into the new campaign."

Rottach-Egern manager, Georg Zeller, was understandably disappointed with his team's performance but admitted that Bayern Munich were simply too strong on the day. "They're a world-class team and they showed it today," he said. "We tried our best but we were outclassed from start to finish."

Bayern Munich will now continue their pre-season preparations with a friendly against Ajax on Wednesday before they begin their Bundesliga campaign at home to Eintracht Frankfurt on August 6.
