NFL Week 15: Steelers Win, Cousins Extends Record

Steelers Bounce Back From Tough Loss

The Pittsburgh Steelers the Atlanta Falcons in a 19-16 win on Sunday, December 18th. The win comes after a disappointing loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Quarterback Kenny Pickett threw for 197 yards and a touchdown while rookie running back Jaylen Warren rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown.

The Steelers defense forced four turnovers, including three interceptions off of Falcons quarterback Marcus Mariota, and sacked Mariota five times.

Falcons Lose to Fall Below .500

The Falcons' loss drops them to 5-9 on the season and puts them in danger of missing the playoffs. Mariota threw for 229 yards and a touchdown, but the interceptions proved to be too costly.

The Falcons will face the New Orleans Saints on the road next week.

Cousins Extends Record

Kirk Cousins of the Minnesota Vikings extended his consecutive starts record to 108 games with the Vikings' win over the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday, December 17th. Cousins threw for 307 yards and two touchdowns in the win.

Cousins is now third all-time in consecutive starts by a quarterback. He is only behind Brett Favre (297) and Peyton Manning (208).

Fields Struggles in Loss

Justin Fields of the Chicago Bears struggled in the Bears' 25-20 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, December 18th. Fields threw for 152 yards and a touchdown, but he also threw two interceptions and was sacked four times.

The Bears are now 3-11 on the season and will face the Buffalo Bills on the road next week.

Boswell's Game-Winning Field Goal

Chris Boswell kicked a 50-yard game-winning field goal as time expired to give the Steelers their win over the Falcons. The win keeps the Steelers' playoff hopes alive.

Boswell is now 17-of-19 on field goals this season and has made all 34 of his extra point attempts.
